People + Creativity = Connection
There is no shortage of reasons to gather with friends and family and there is never a better time than, well, now. Wherever you are, however you can, making connections with the people we love is a goal worth prioritizing. I get how hard it can be to not only make the time but to pick a time that works for everyone. The holiday season is upon us and it gives us a great model for success.
We manage to get together because it is a tradition that we know is coming around each year and we plan to make it happen. It is more often than not, due to that one person who consistently hosts or facilitates. Are you that person? If not, then you can be. Why limit yourselves to the holidays? Do you have friends or family that when you get together you feel a tug to make it happen more often?
I want to encourage you to start a new tradition with some people precious to you. Find a way to grow your connection, in person or regular communication that includes creativity. This happens in our studio every time someone sits down to create. Whether solo or in a group, a connection is made with your inner artist, and yes, everyone has one. But it gets even better with others. The bonds of encouragement, laughter and mutual accomplishment are real and magical to watch.
Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some ideas for creative gatherings. Hopefully one will be a good fit for you.
