Where will inspiration find you working this week?

From doodling mushrooms to mixed media classes and making happy houses after school to packing watercolor kits, this week has been filled with creative opportunities! Pablo Picasso said, "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working."

Spending the days helping others tap into their inspiration usually involves up to 8 or 10 people at one time, unless we fill Jack Brown's during the off season where we have room for 21! This month Ami Hill, creator of the Outer Banks Box, has given me the opportunity to teach 325 people! They won't fit into our little studio, of course, but they will enjoy a special video tutorial created just for them.

As I pack up the accompanying kits, I hope the recipients will give it a try, actually more than that, I hope this endeavor sparks a desire to create more. Whether the desire is born from "That was fun!" or "I can do better than that!", I will count it as mission accomplished if art in whatever form is pursued from their experience.Where will inspiration find you working this week?
